2Care awarded ISO standard

2Care, a national charity and Registered Social Landlord which supports older people and people with mental health needs, has been awarded certification against quality management systems standard ISO 9001:2000. The charity received its certification following an assessment of 2Care¹s six residential services and its central office in London. 2Care¹s quality development manager Jason Little said the development of quality systems was an integral part of the Care Standards Act 2000. “For the last two years 2Care has reviewed its best practices to ensure that quality standards are consistent throughout the organisation,” Mr Little said. “Having an independently awarded quality certification is important to 2Care as we are very proud of the quality of care our service users receive and we wanted to gain formal recognition of this. “The continual improvement of quality has always been a key concern at the charity, enabling us to promote continuity across the organisation and reach our common goals.”
