A new provider launches

A nurse who left India for Britain in 2000 has launched himself as an entrepreneur on the UK care scene with the refurbishment and extension of three care homes. Sebastian Kaippans, of Kaippans Care, has worked his way up the care ladder since arriving in England six years ago. Having started as a nurse, he soon took on the roles of manager and operations manager for his employer in the South West. “Very early on in my career, I could see the opportunities around me,” said Mr Kaippans. “Interestingly a patient of mine years earlier at the hospital in Bombay where I was working had told me there were great opportunities in the UK so I knew it would only be a matter of time before establishing my own business here.” Homes in the Kaippans Care portfolio to date are Glais House nursing home in Swansea, Peniel House in Carmarthenshire and Fairfield House in Chillington, Devon.
