£300 million “cash for change” to tackle bed blocking

Health secretary Alan Milburn and local government secretary Stephen Byers have announced a cash investment of £300 million – over this year and the next – as part of a “cash for change” progrtamme designed to end widespread bed blocking by 2004. – See the November edition of Caring Times for a full report.
