Accreditation plan for information providers in health and social care

Providers of information about social care will soon be able to apply for accreditation under a new scheme funded by the Department of Health.

The DH has appointed a private company – Capita – to manage a new certification scheme – The Information Standard – as part of a drive to ensure that the public and patients have access to good quality information that will help them make confident and informed decisions about their health and social care.
