Action on dementia care

Alzheimer Scotland – Action on Dementia has launched a major new project, the Scottish Dementia Care Services Template. At the core of the template will be targets for the range and volume of core services, which should be available to people with dementia and their carers from the start of the illness to the final stages. Essential services to be included are: Home support; day care and opportunities; Extra care housing; and Counselling and advocacy. See _Homecare Professional_, July/August 2000 issue
