ŒDuty Calls¹ awards honours winners

Honest Chimanga, a temp from Principal People agency in Chertsey, Surrey, has been awarded the “Duty Calls Award” as part of last year¹s recruitment industry¹s National Temporary Workers Week. The award, sponsored by Resource Partners¹ FastFlow service, aims to recognise exceptional care workers who have excelled beyond the call of duty throughout the year while working through an agency. The award, now in its second year, was judged by Caring Times editor Geoff Hodgson and presented by David Gross, director of marketing from Resource Partners at the Radisson Kennelworth Hotel in London. Honest was judged the winner for his exceptional work in a day centre for adults and for a number of residential homes for elderly people. Theresa Wellings, a youth worker from The Personnel & Care Bank, and Susan Hall, a homecare worker from Consultus Services Agency, were the finalists in this competition.
