Advantage acquisition

Warwickshire based Advantage Group is further along the acquisition trail, having purchased the dual registered care home Richmond Court in West Bromwich for £1 million-plus. Richmond Court, on Beeches Road, was established in 1989 and is registered to care for 32 nursing patients and 11 elderly residential clients. Julian Ball, senior healthcare surveyor at GVA Grimley who acted on behalf of the vendor, Richmond Court Nursing Home Ltd, said: “Despite the trading problems experienced by many care homes due to social service funding constraints, homes such as Richmond Court, which deliver quality care, remain successful and saleable in the market.” Advantage Group acquisition director Richard Brookes said last year his company had purchased three large nursing and residential care homes in the Sandwell Borough. The acquisition of Richmond Court takes their portfolio of care homes in the area to four.
