Another home for Home from Home

Lincolnshire-based care home provider, Home From Home Care Ltd, has announced the second phase in its £12m investment programme in the region. With the opening in April of its first care home The Old Hall at Fiskerton, near Lincoln the company has confirmed that its second home will open in the spring at the nearby village of Bardney. Extensive renovation and refurbishment of The Hawthorns, a double-fronted Victorian villa, is almost complete. The home has been specially designed for people with a learning disability and will provide six beds for the 18 to 65 age group. Furnished and equipped to the highest standards, the home will eventually incorporate a sensory room leading outside to a sensory garden and easily accessible flower beds, features Home From Home Care intends to create with the guidance of their service users. The Old Hall and The Hawthorns are the first of 12 care homes being developed across the Lincolnshire region by Home From Home Care over the next four to five years.
