A former area manager recently won a claim for unlawful deductions in the Central London Employment Tribunal against his former employer, Norwich Healthcare Ltd (NHL). The tribunal awarded Afta Chiles the sum of £10,419.75

NHL, which provides management consultancy services to private nursing homes, employed Mr Chiles as area manager in April 2006. However, it consistently failed to pay him his full wage entitlement during his employment, as a result of which the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) supported his claim for unlawful deductions.
