BUPA Care Homes has acquired the Avalon group of five homes on three sites in Solihull, West Midlands, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Bristol, with a total of 179 beds (94 nursing and 85 residential). The purchase takes BUPA up to 300 care homes and consolidates its position as one of the UK’s leading care home operators.

Under the deal BUPA Care Homes will acquire the business and trading assets of Avalon and has agreed a 35-year lease for the properties.
