Awards give chance to travel

People with an interest in continence care, who would like to improve the service they offer patients, are invited to apply for the 2001 Dorothy Mandelstam Awards. These awards provide funding to expand knowledge through overseas travel or a course of study. Sponsored jointly by the Association for Continence Advice and Bard, a leading UK urology company, the scheme ­ which is worth up to £1,500 ­ is open to all. Applicants simply have to explain, in 500 to 1,500 words, the thinking behind their chosen destination and supply an outline of their expected costs. Two £500 education awards are available to ACA members. These can be used to help fund a continence specific unit or module at degree or advanced diploma level, a teaching qualification or a research module. The Dorothy Mandelstam Awards are highly regarded in the continence care industry. Award winners will have the opportunity to present a report on their achievements to the ACA Conference held in 2002. To find out more or to request an applicatio
