Barchester recognised for growth

Barchester Healthcare has entered the 2005 Fast Track 100 list, published in The Sunday Times which recognises the fastest growing private companies in the UK. Barchester1s financial results, published last October, announced a massive 218 per cent increase in turnover to £130.4 million (1993: £59.7 million) in the year to December 31, 2004. This is largely owing to the acquisition of Westminster Health Care in October 2004 for an enterprise value of £525 million, adding 89 care homes to Barchester Healthcare1s profile. The 2005 Fast Track 100 results identified a common theme among the companies listed – that success comes to those who stick to their vision. This is a quality which can certainly be attributed to Barchester Healthcare1s managing director Mike Parsons, who started the company in 1993. His vision has always been to strive to be the number one provider of high quality residential and nursing home care in the UK, offering exceptionally high standards of care, hotel-like facilities and gourmet
