‘Caring Times editor GEOFF HODGSON reports on the two-day National Care Homes Congress held recently in Birmingham.

About 300 care home managers and other care professionals met in Birmingham at the end of June for the second National Care Homes Congress.

Over the two days of the event, those attending had the task of choosing from 35 different presentations, all aimed at improving practice in different aspects of social care. For myself, it was a great place to meet and talk with Caring Times readers. It was two days of heraring about what’s new in social care. It was a terrific insight into care home management.
