Bondcare raises cash via sale and leaseback

The Bondcare Group, operators of care homes throughout the UK (with 2,500 employees and an annual turnover of about £50m), has completed a multi million pound sale and lease back deal with Southern Cross, funded by Bank of Scotland, for their portfolio of 39 care homes throughout England with a bias to the North East.

Bondcare plans to use the additional working capital to continue its expansion in the healthcare sector, both by way of acquisition of existing units and land purchases with a view to developing sites.
