Brunelcare appoints fundraiser

Bristol-based charity Brunelcare has appointed Lyn Plummer, 53, as the new events co-ordinator to head the organisation’s fundraising activities. Ms Plummer’s new role will encompass event management and fundraising activity, from organising local events to submitting applications to local trusts. “Since the opening of our £2 million new Glastonbury care home earlier on this month, Brunelcare has been going from strength to strength,” Ms Plummer said. “Essential to this growth is the support and financial assistance from events and voluntary contributions, hence the growing need for my new role. Brunelcare depends on voluntary contributions for many additional care services and facilities that it provides. These can take the form of donations, trusts, grants or monies from fundraising activities.” Ms Plummer has worked at Brunelcare for four years as personal assistant to chief executive Dave Herbert.
