Builder and lender launch new development package

Castleoak plc and UCB Healthcare have jointly launched a £30 million design build finance facility. The product, Castleoak DBF, will be offered to both independent and not-for-profit healthcare customers. Providing 100% development finance for the acquisition of land and the design, build and fitting out of a project, Castleoak DBF is designed to facilitate the growth of leading operators by providing the capital and development expertise to add quality, purpose built accommodation to their portfolios. Castleoak chairman Melville Knight said the intention was to provide a painless development solution for customers. “We will manage and finance the project from inception to completion, allowing our customers to focus on operating their businesses,” Mr Knight said. “We have developed standardised documentation with UCB Healthcare which will minimise the lead-in time to development and reduce fees. Our customers will sign a forward sale agreement and can then have as little or much involvement as they wish – up
