Bupa buys Grimley management software

Major long term care provider BUPA Care Services has adopted specialist asset and maintenance management software developed by international property adviser GVA Grimley. BUPA will use two GVA Software packages, REAL Asset and REAL Maintain, to manage its UK hospital network and care services portfolio of more than 450 properties. GVA Software will provide a group-wide property management database system that replaces BUPA’s existing terrier system. GVA Software account manager Kyron Keogh said the packages were selected by BUPA after a detailed review of property software providers in the marketplace. “We are developing additional modules to suit BUPA’s specific requirements and we have assisted them with data collation,” Mr Keogh said. “The project will be implemented in two phases. REAL Asset will go live in June and REAL Maintain will follow closely afterwards in August.” Served by an Oracle database, the system will be run across BUPA’s existing Wide Area Network, giving access to 55 users across the cou
