BUPA Foundation Awards 2003

People involved in healthcare, including the care of older people, have until June 30 to submit their applications to the BUPA Foundation Awards 2003. Now in their 24th year, the awards promote excellence in six key categories ­ care, for excellence in the development of care for older people; communication, to encourage improvement in effective communications between healthcare professionals and patients; clinical excellence; health at work; epidemiology; and research. The BUPA Foundation, an independent charitable organisation, gas awarded grants totalling more than £9.5 million for medical research and development since it was founded in 1979.
