Care Forum Wales takes its message to the people

|Massive billboards in Cardiff, posters throughout Wales| It¹s time to call for a fair price for care ­ that¹s the message being given by Care Forum Wales (CFW) in a campaign launched in late March to raise awareness of what CFW describes as the £100m under funding of the Welsh care sector. The campaign began with the unveiling of two huge billboard poster sites on Bute Square in Cardiff asking the general public to lobby local councillors and assembly members over the under funding issue. The billboards will be backed up with a leaflet drop across Wales urging care home-owners, employees and relatives of loved-ones in care to take action by bringing the item to the top of the health care agenda in their locality. The billboards and literature were a build-up to the main event of the campaign ­ a demonstration outside the Welsh Assembly Government building on March 26, which coincided with a health and social care committee meeting.
