Care UK appoints Sushil Jathanna as clinical care director

Major provider Care UK has appointed Dr Sushil Jathanna as managing director of clinical care services. The appointment comes in the wake of the company¹s continuing growth and expansion into the primary care and acute sectors. Dr Jathanna will be responsible for overseeing Care UK¹s new primary care contract in Essex and Partnership Health Group (PHG), the company¹s joint venture company, which is operating two orthopaedic treatment centres on behalf of the NHS. In addition, Dr Jathanna will develop further primary, acute and diagnostic services in partnership with Primary Care and NHS Trusts. Care UK chief executive, Mike Parish said his company¹s success with PHG and the new primary care service in Southend showed that Care UK was well-placed to take advantage of the increasing opportunities open to independent providers in acute and primary care. Dr Jathanna was previously director of clinical services for Care UK and will retain responsibility for clinical governance and learning and development in a
