Care UK buys Cerrus IT system

In what may be the biggest single IT deployment in UK independent health and social care, Care UK has contracted Cerrus International to deploy its Saturn IT system across its care homes throughout the UK. Cerrus managing director Stewart Maxwell said the Saturn system would help Care UK to manage its income system, human resources and payroll for more than 3,000 staff, care provision for all residents, accident and incident reporting, complaints processes and the enquiry and waiting lists. “This is a very exciting project for Cerrus International to undertake, and one which confirms our growing reputation as a provider of IT services for the health and social care sector,” said Mr Maxwell. The entire project will take Care UK over a year to roll out, as 3,000 employees will need to be trained to use the system which Mr Maxwell said was fast becoming the number one IT choice for UK independent health and social care providers.
