Care workers win £90k after wrongful dismissal

Two specialist care workers have been awarded a total of £90,000 compensation in settlement of a wrongful dismissal claim.

Gail Freeman,52 a health care assistant and Steve Wood, 39, a community support worker, were on duty at a secure mental health ward at Tees Esk & Wear NHS Trust in 2003 attempting to calm a severely disturbed patient who had attempted suicide.
