Caring Times expands to cover homecare

In a move to create a publication covering the full breadth of the long-term care sector, Caring Times is delighted to welcome the readers and advertisers of its sister publication Homecare Professional within its pages. Dr Richard Hawkins, co-proprietor of Hawker Publications and editor-in-chief of both Caring Times and Homecare Professional, said common ground was increasing between the two magazines with the increasing development of other models of care such as very sheltered housing and assisted living. “As publishers of these two excellent titles, we are very pleased to have the opportunity to merge them into one, providing comprehensive and informed coverage of a wide variety of care,” Dr Hawkins said. “Many operators, in the private, voluntary and statutory sectors, are providing a mix of care delivery. Similarly, local authorities are commissioning care home places and homecare contracts out of the same social care budget.
