Carol and Mario celebrate 20:20 vision

Pendine Park cook Carol Roberts has been rewarded for 20 years of service with a luxury weekend in London for her and a guest. The trip will include tickets to two top West End shows – Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. Pendine Park proprietor Mario Kreft, who is himself celebrating more than 20 years of voluntary service in the care sector, made the award. “I am a great believer in rewarding excellence, commitment and loyalty which is why I felt it was important to recognise Carol’s dedication to Pendine Park and our clients,” said Mr Kreft. “Our working lives have taken a parallel path for the past two decades so you could say it’s a case of 20:20 vision in the care sector. “Carol is very important to us because, like an army, a care organisation like our runs on its stomach. We couldn’t do without her. She’s been with us virtually from the start of the company as a care organisation – and we wouldn’t be without her for a minute. “When she arrived, we provided 14 beds – that
