Cost analysis compares extracare and care homes

Earlier this year, assisted living provider Raven Audley Court commissioned an independent research company, Laing & Buisson, to conduct a comparison of care homes and housing with extracare available.

In providing a background to the study Audley says extracare offers a home for life, with self-contained accommodation with the security of a tenancy or leasehold ownership. Care homes offer only a temporary license to occupy shared accommodation. While meals are available flexibly in extracare, care homes offer meals at set times with the charge included
