Counsel and Care: question marks remain over funding of National Dementia Strategy

Older people’s care charity Counsel and Care has welcomed the Strategy, saying that if fully implemented, with the appropriate resources it deserves, the Strategy could transform the quality of dementia care and with it, the lived experiences of older people with dementia, their families and carers.

‘However, it is a big ‘if’,’ said the charity’s chief executive Stephen Burke.
