Couple collect keys from Craegmoor

Craegmoor Healthcare presented residents Ron and Susie Gentry with keys to their new supported living home in St Leonards-on-Sea to celebrate their first year of marriage. Ron and Susie, who both have learning difficulties, met 25 years ago in a Craegmoor care home and after a long romance married in June last year. Craegmoor Healthcare, recognising their needs have now changed, has arranged for them to have their own flat, which they moved into at the weekend. The couple are the first to benefit from this new supported living scheme which provides residents with 40 hours of support each week for budgeting, shopping, cooking and general life skills. Alac Pengally, area manager for Craegmoor Healthcare, said: “We are delighted to do this for Ron and Susie,” said. We recognised that our residents’ needs may change over time and as such we are flexible and will tailor their care accordingly.”
