Couple lead MBO of St George group

Mental health care provider the St George Healthcare Group Ltd has undergone a management buy-out led by husband and wife Dr Nasser and Hala Fouad, backed by the specialist healthcare team at The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

Founded in 1999, the St George Healthcare Group became one of the UK’s major providers of specialist care for people with mental health problems and complex unmet needs. With sites across the North West in Warrington, Oldham and Liverpool, the group is engaged in the provision of rehabilitation facilities and services for patients with brain injuries and a range of treatments and therapies in the field of mental health and deafness.

Under the management buy-out, RBS provided the company with the funds to complete the purchase, and also funding to allow the company to embark on a new venture at All Saints Hospital, Oldham which will expand its specialist care provision facilities across the North West.
