Coverage Care wins domiciliary care contract in Shropshire

A voluntary sector domiciliary care contract has been awarded to Coverage Care Shropshire Ltd. Coverage Care will co-ordinate the scheme which is linked to the company¹s residential home, Stone House in Bishop¹s Castle, and will benefit elderly people in Bishop¹s Castle, Craven Arms and Clun. The residential care providers will co-ordinate an emergency response team led by the local district nurse. The team will seek to maintain people in their own homes ­ free of charge ­ and avoid admission to hospital. The team, from the Primary Care Trust and START which is the local authority domiciliary agency specialising in intermediate care, will provide direct cover during the day and Coverage Care will be the support at night.
