Craegmoor adds to specialist care portfolio

Craegmoor Healthcare is continuing its growth strategy, acquiring four specialist care homes in Kent – one in New Romney and three in St Mary’s Bay in Romney Marsh – giving the company a total of 16 homes in Kent. In another deal, handled by Hazlewoods, Craegmoor has completed the acquisition of the London-based Challenge Care Group. In the north, Craegmoor has acquired Riversdale in Skipton, North Yorkshire adding to its existing portfolio of specialist care homes in that region. Riversdale cares for 24 adults with learning difficulties and some with additional physical disabilities. Commenting on the expansion in Kent, Craegmoor chief executive Frank Richardson said the new Romney home – the Foreshore in Littlestone – continues to enjoy full occupancy with many of the home’s first residents still happily living there.
