CT Interview – Mark Ellerby

|Caring Times editor Geoff Hodgson speaks to the managing director of BUPA Care Services| Prior to his career with BUPA Care Services, Mark Ellerby had worked as an accountant with the City firm of Touche-Ross. In this role he acted as an adviser to several large big companies ­ both in the UK and overseas ­ in various sectors including the mining, pharmaceutical and retail industries. “I think of myself as an ex-accountant now, although it¹s still part of my job to keep a close eye on the numbers,” Mr Ellerby said. “After spending 10 years as an advisor to other companies, I began to feel I wanted to do something different. I became quite involved with the companies I worked with but, as an advisor, I would move on to another project with another company.
