Cumbria Council plans to build care homes with nursing beds

Cumbria County Council is planning to build a series of new care homes as part of a major new investment plan.

Under the review a total of six new care homes would be created to run along existing cottage hospitals.

Under the plan, if passed in full, six new care homes would be up and running across the county within five years.
