Demand for care homes continues unabated

In its annual Business Outlook report released in January, business property agent Christie+Co reported that the biggest increases in prices last year was in the care sector, which experienced a 12.2% rise in values, 5.1% up on the average increase in prices across its six trading sectors – hotels, pubs, restaurants, leisure, care and retail.

Director and head of care at Christie+Co Richard Lunn said it seemed investors had not been deterred by the current financial climate, as demand for care facilities was increasing and, because of the demographic
