Dementia North, a registered charity working with the University of Northumbria, is conducting a training and development workshop entitled The Challenges of Person-Centred Care Planning in Care Homes. The workshop, to be held at St Mary¹s College in Durham on Wednesday, 12th September, will explore what is meant by good care planning for people with dementia, and discuss some of the tools which can be used to assist in this. It will examine the issues from a range of perspectives, including those of service commissioners, registration and inspection staff, care home managers, senior care staff, care staff, residents and their family members. – For further information, telephone 0191 215 6110.
