Donaldsons and Grimley confirm they are negotiating

The partnerships of property agents Donaldsons and GVA Grimley have confirmed that they are in preliminary negotiations that could lead to a full merger of the two firms. This follows speculation based upon the two firms¹ client and specialisation fit. The combined firm would remain as a partnership with an annual fee income of more than £100 million and staff of around 1,500 in London and the major UK cities. A merger would seek to build on the established reputation of Donaldsons in the retail market, corporate outsourcing and the public sector, and GVA Grimley¹s strengths in the office market, as well as in planning, building and other consulting work. Both firms have a significant regional presence as well as rapidly growing international activities, and it is said this would lead to complementary services and regional dominance in a number of locations, both in the UK and throughout Europe.
