Fazakerley in finals

Meridian Healthcare’s Fazakerley House Care Centre in Prescot, Knowsley has been named as one of three finalists in the Pinders/_Caring Business_ Healthcare Design Awards. The award is for “Best Revival Project” and is based on how the care centre has undergone drastic improvements and changes to better meet the needs and desires of residents. Finalists are subjected to a rigorous onsite visit in February, with winners announced at a luncheon in London in March. All finalists receive a cheque for £500 for their nominated local charity. Extensive refurbishment work at the 30-bed Fazakerley House Care Centre was completed in November 2005. Local construction firm Sloyans and interior designers Catalyst were employed to complete the refurbishment project. Fazakerley House is now able to accommodate 30 residential clients in luxurious surroundings.
