Firth a contender for enterprise award

Meridian Healthcare managing director Alan Firth has been named as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year North award. Since his appointment as managing director in 1993, Alan Firth has achieved outstanding organic and acquisitive growth for Meridian Healthcare in a relatively short period of time. Driven by a passion for providing high quality services and facilities for older people, the business has not only grown but also invested heavily into its existing facilities. Currently consisting of 25 care centres across the North of England, Meridian is expanding its portfolio with building work on the 26th addition currently under way. Under Mr Firth’s skilful and close management, Meridian Healthcare has blossomed into a multimillion-pound business.
