Flexibility is key for growing business

Offering long term care for elderly and infirm people, as well as for younger people with disabilities, Rawyards House nursing home in Airdrie has grown from a 24-bed establishment in 1988 to a total of 94 residents in 2000. Housekeeping manager Gordon Stewart has implemented a series of changes in the laundry since he joined the staff three years ago, in order to find the right system for the growing establishment. Rawyards House had previously used another automatic dosing system in the laundry but had found that the results were disappointing. Following the success of JonPro powder, Mr Stewart trialled the Liquid Laundry system on two of the three washing machines. “I only had to run the new system for two weeks to see that it was the right one for us,” he said. The JonPro Liquid Laundry system offers bespoke programming for individual washing machines. It comprises three products – JonPro Liquid Detergent, JonPro Fabric Destainer and JonPro Fabric Softener – plus a control unit (fixed to the front of the
