Four Seasons appoints Calverley to work with commissioners of care

Major provider Four Seasons Health Care has appointed Dr Pete Calverley as a primary care medical director. Chief executive Tony Heywood said the appointment was part of Four Seasons’ response to the Government1s policy of looking for closer public-private sector partnering and Dr Calverley would work at the company’s interface with Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and NHS primary care services. “We will now be working with Dr Calveley in refining the strategic direction of the company in respect of these primary care services and he will take the lead on specific projects,” said Mr Heywood. Dr Calveley has extensive experience as a Principal GP in managing and developing a practice through fund-holding, PMS, the IIP process and the successful recruitment, training and retention of GPs practice nurses and nurse practitioners. His practice is a teaching practice involved in the training of nurse practitioners, Emergency Care Practitioners (ECPs), First Contact nurses and extended role pharmacists, all of which are v
