Four Seasons sold for £1.4bn:

Allianz Capital Partners GmbH has sold major provider Four Seasons Healthcare to Delta Commercial Property LP, an investment vehicle for Three Delta LLP for about £1.4 billion. The purchase will be funded through a combination of third party bank debt and equity funds managed by Three Delta. Four Seasons is one of the largest independent providers of care homes and specialist services in the UK with more than 19,800 beds in 416 care homes, hospitals and centres owned or operated throughout England, Scotland and Northern Ireland with more than 20,000 employees. Commenting on the transaction, Four Seasons chief executive Tony Heywood said senior management was very pleased with the choice of new owner for Four Seasons and looked forward to continuing to grow and develop the business. “I’d be surprised if the operating business of Four Seasons wasn’t floated, like Southern Cross, within two or three years – it’s the natural thing to do,” Mr Heywood told _Caring Times_. “There is so much leverage o
