Hallmark launches scholarship programme

From 2007 onwards Hallmark Healthcare will award a series of scholarships to employees in a bid to continue improving the care it provides to clients. The scholarships will be announced each year alongside the Hallmark Healthcare Awards, which encourage and reward best practice. The first in the series of scholarships will be a Mediterranean Culinary Scholarship, which will be undertaken annually by the three finalists of the Care Chef category in the 2007 Hallmark Healthcare awards. The finalists will be sent to Pescara in Abruzzo on the coastline of the Adriatic. Here they will be guests of Aldo Zilli – the famed Italian culinary connoisseur – of Celebrity X-Factor and Celebrity Fit Club. Over a four-day period, the three Hallmark chefs will work alongside Zilli to learn all about nutrition, preparation and presentation of food the Italian way. Their time at the masterclass will see them enjoy the organic farming tradition of Abruzzo and experience cooking with some of the world’s finest wine, olive o
