Homecare workers angry about changes to pay

Employees of a homecare in Scotland are claiming that alterations to the way they are paid means in effect they are having to take a wage cut.

Elite Care (Scotland), which provides homecare in the Tayside and Fife region has said it has been compelled to make the changes after local authorities altered payment schedules. The changes relate to the higher hourly rate paid for doing jobs that last less than an hour. There will also be changes to the weekend rate of pay and travel allowances.
