Eight Lancashire care homes have been awarded 5 stars in the latest round of independent assessments carried out by RDB Star Rating, the leading independently accredited ‘quality’ assessment company.

Star Rating managing director Sue Brand said “I would like to congratulate the Lancashire homes that have achieved this prestigious 5 Star Award. This demonstrates that they are providing an excellent standard of care and services and a real commitment to quality”.

Janet Farrington the Registered Manager at Moor Park House, who has participated in the scheme for the past 9 years commented, “I feel that the RDB inspection is a helpful tool to judge your service against. It explores the key elements of care and quality within the home.

“The inspector we had was very professional and his approach made everyone he spoke to feel at ease. His findings about our service related directly to CQC expectations and specific regulations which gave us solid information to work with in regard to the inspection process.

“The end report was concise and matched the verbal appraisal which was given on the final day of inspection”.

  • The RDB Star Rating Annual Assessment Programme is also available to individual and group residential providers throughout the country.
