New provider Kaippans Care has added the Brynderwen care home in Carmarthen to its portfolio. Director Sebastian Kaippan said his company had plans for a 40 bed extension adding to the existing 29 beds at an estimated cost of £1.25 million. Mr Kaippan left India to work as a nurse in Britain in 2002 and launched himself as an entrepreneur on the UK care scene in 2005. He has now grown the business to six care homes in 18 months. Brynderwen, also welcomes a new manager, Gaynor Robbins, who has worked in the care sector for more than 20 years. “I’m really enjoying working for the Kaippans group and looking forward to playing a key role in the Camarthenshire care sector,” said Ms Robbins. “I will be bringing all my experience to bear to look after the old people in our care.”
