Kays launches wound sprays

Kays Medical says it is the first in the occupational health market with a spray wound cleaner which cleanses and irrigates all in one go. The new Askina sterile wound spray is said to work no matter how awkward the wound. Kays Medical Supplies general manager Phil Winterton said that for small, large and problematic wounds, the new spray is the perfect easy-to-use method of cleansing and irrigating using saline rather than antiseptic which could damage living tissue and lengthen healing times. “It is quite simply the easiest and most effective method of cleansing and irrigating wounds and offers huge benefit for medical, first aid and care treatments,” Mr Winterton said. The new saline ozone-free spray is launched in the UK by Kays Medical as sole distributor in three sizes ­ 120ml, 250ml and 350ml. “With Askina saline wound spray there is no need for messy wipes, awkward sachets, dishes, cotton wool or syringes,” Mr Winterton said. “The saline solution is simply sprayed on to the complete wound area by a c
