Laing & Buisson acquires whole of conference arm

Laing & Buisson, the UK’s leading independent healthcare market analyst has fully acquired Laing & Buisson Conferences Ltd, in which it has held a 50 per cent stake since the founding of the business in 1986. Laing & Buisson Conferences is known throughout the healthcare sector as a major UK event organiser, with a comprehensive range of conferences and events. Laing & Buisson managing director William Laing said that, over the past 20 years, L&B Conferences had staged a unique array of events of interest to the independent health and care sector. He said the diversity of these events had mirrored and occasionally influenced the direction in which the independent sector has travelled in recent times. “The reputation it enjoys today is a tribute to the energy, enthusiasm and strategic input of the company’s founder William Fitzhugh,” said Mr Laing. “So, while naturally delighted to have wholly acquired such a strong and growing conference brand, we will miss the day-to-day input of William Fitzhugh,
