The London Borough of Lambeth has become the first local authority in England to appoint a “director of personalising services”. Jamie Nevin is charged with ensuring that Lambeth is at the forefront of implementing a self-directed support strategy to give adult social care service users more control over their lives. Mr Nevin joins Lambeth from Southwark Primary Care Trust and Southwark Council where he was director of performance for adults, children and health.
