| Lack of priority says Waiting for Change report |
|
Caring Times, February 2010
|
The 'Waiting for Change' report from Age Concern and Help the Aged said that NHS, politicians and health professionals failed to prioritise the needs of older people.
Focusing on the needs and preferences of the over 80s, the research found that this group have a clear idea of what they want from health services, but all too often this is not delivered.
Currently, NHS targets and performance indicators fail to adequately address the issues that matter most to older people.
