Avery Healthcare's new Aire View Care Home in Leeds has created around 80 new care jobs in the area.
It will be the sixth new care home to be opened by the company this year with several more due this year. Like other Avery homes it will offer both residential and dementia care.
The new Aire View home is in Kirkstall in the middle of the Leeds-Bradford catchment area. It complements Avery's nearby home Avery Mews in Heckmondwike, 10 miles away, which opened at the beginning of 2009 and is now running at full occupancy.
New manager Paula Pearson, who lives in the West Yorkshire area, commented: 'We have literally the most modern and luxurious home in the area and our first residents are just starting to move in. Aire View is going to offer a very high class of care, a different level of care for the area overall.'
Paula qualified as a nurse in 1990 and has worked in the private health sector since that time including managing other care homes in the area.
Avery Healthcare's managing director John Strowbridge said the West Yorkshire area was in further need of quality care provision.
Mr Strowbridge said he expected the home to create in excess of 80 jobs by the time it was fully occupied.
