| LD specialist doubles in size with acquisition of Shirebrook group |

Care Aspirations, leading specialist care providers for individuals with learning disabilities in the East of England since 1986, are delighted to announce the purchase of the Shirebrook Care Group in the East Midlands with immediate effect.
Care Aspirations will be able to provide over 400 placements for individuals with learning disabilities in 29 units, across well defined pathways of care. The Group will now employ over 600 people.

We are very excited about the acquisition of the Shirebrook Care Group as it gives our organisation significant presence in the East Midlands and provides a platform for further growth.'
We now offer a complete range of services from low secure care, step down locked hospitals, specialist residential and nursing homes, to supported living placements and day centre provision to individuals and funders.'
The former MD of Shirebrook Care Group, who takes up the new position of Regional Operations Director for Care Aspirations, Shawn Sunderland said: 'I believe the combination of Shirebrook Care together with Care Aspirations will offer extraordinary strength in the future development of services for individuals with learning disabilities.
